A former music teacher and town’s councilor and
presently, for several years, serving the town’s main church, Mr. Iñigo
Vito has been the Pakil’s most respected man. He had topped the election
for municipal councilor with an easy slide. For years, he is a servant of God
in his church (the San Pedro de Alcantara Parish Church now became a shrine),
whose reputation and enthusiasm for serving the church cannot be surpassed by
anyone.
Mr. Vito, frequently has a task of being an emcee in town’s
various events, standing on the stage and leading most of the whole program. He
speaks in articulate manner and has good voice to capture the audience attention.
What Mr. Iñigo becomes among outstanding men of Pakil is that, for a long
years of serving people and the church, he has not expect anything in exchange
for his service inspite of opportunity to enjoy different life as he is now experiencing.
Most of the folks known him even the younger people of Pakil and even the devotees
of Nuestra Señora de Turumba from various places known him for years.
