Uncelebrated Heroes

Pakil has uncelebrated heroes. They were Inocentes Macapanpan, who was killed
in the battlefiled during the First Cry of Balintawak on August 26, 1896;
Ex-Mayor Ciriaco M. Gonzales, who served as the Sacrificial Lamb for all Pakilenos
who joined the guerilla warfare during the Second World War,
thus was killed and beheaded by the Japanese in Lumban, Laguna; a
nd Boy Scout Rogelio C. Ybardolaza, Philippine Representative to the 11th Boy Scout
World Jamboree who died in an airplane crash on their way to Athens, Greece.
